Although we usually meet on the third Tuesday of the month, there are a few exceptions. In July and August there is no meeting. In December, we usually have a Christmas party at a local restaurant, like The Inn at Chester Springs or the General Warren Inn.
We meet for lunch at 12 Noon. You choose and buy your own meal; reservations are not needed. The meeting starts at 12:45 p.m. and is over about 2:00 p.m. The meeting will be a discussion on NARFE and the regular business meeting. (You can come just for the meeting if you prefer).
We usually meet at The Old Country Buffet (1090 E Lancaster Ave Downingtown, PA (610) 269-5999). This is Business Route 30 in the same shopping center as Wegmans. Be sure to join the Senior Club if you are over 60 and receive $1 off the price of your meal. Lunch, including the business meeting, takes about ninety minutes. Reservations are not necessary. Guests and visitors are always welcome.
Meeting cancellation policy: If the Downingtown School Board decides to cancel or delay school the chapter meeting will also be cancelled
In addition, Congressman Jim Gerlach has been invited our meetings but we do not yet if or when he can come. Further details will be provided as soon as we know.
